In South Africa, the Guardian's Fund aims to protect vulnerable groups, like minors and those unable to manage their finances, by growing unclaimed funds with interest.

However, managed by the High Court's Master, accessing these funds can be challenging due to strict rules and limited offices across the country.

Problems include the difficulty of making successful claims due to paperwork, the risk of unclaimed cash going to the state after 30 years, and a general lack of awareness among potential beneficiaries.

To make it easier for rightful owners to get their benefits, recommendations include raising public awareness, streamlining the claims process, expanding office access points, and improving online support, aiming to ease access to funds for rightful owners.
